Friends,
I am delighted to share Volume 92 of Proceedings of the Georgia Communication Association, curated by our new Editor, Nathan Bedsole (Georgia College & State University).
This issue, reflecting selected work from the two-day Spring 2025 conference at the University of West Georgia, begins with a letter from former Proceedings Editor and GCA veteran Barbara G. Tucker (Dalton State College). This volume also features our Top Paper: 1964 Marietta Daily Journal coverage of Marietta High School integration, by Jasmine Hope Jackson (Georgia State University), and selected other presentations.
Please set aside some time to peruse the volume, and share with your colleagues and students.
The Georgia Communication Association is a network of secondary and post-secondary educators, working professionals, graduate and undergraduate students established in 1931. Together we serve the advancement of communication inquiry and education in the state of Georgia, as part of the Southern States Communication Association, and of the National Communication Association.
We hope you engage with us at our 2026 conference at Mercer University in Macon, Georgia, February 19-21. Call for submissions available in September, 2025.
Best,
Steve Stuglin
GCA President
